The Suburban Philadelphia Chapter was started in the 1950’s and has had many distinguished Philadelphia Basketball referees included in its membership.

Hank Nichols, Bob Donato, and Gerry Donaghy, just to name a few. One of the most hard working, influential members that kept the chapter together for over forty years was George Meyers, our secretary who retired from active membership in the Chapter in 1992. We owe a deep debt of gratitude to these members and we hope to continue the fine tradition started by these pioneers of our avocation.

Our mission is to provide the best support possible to the members of the chapter through continuing education, on and off court training, and helpful administration. We are a dual chapter representing the PIAA (Chapter #01BB 0174) and IAABO (Board # 65) with a total membership of 93 basketball referees.
